South Georgia Bank Boardroom

Scholarships

South Georgia Bank awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors from Tattnall County High School and Pinewood Christian Academy in memory of Lee Woodcock. Mr. Woodcock was one of the bank’s original directors and founders. He was a very astute business person and was Executive Vice President of Rotary Corporation in Glennville. Mr. Woodcock was very supportive of higher education for young people and after his death in 2002, the bank wanted to honor his memory by establishing a scholarship fund.

Applications for the scholarship are available in the spring of each year and can be obtained from the school counselor or at South Georgia Bank. The schools will notify graduating seniors when applications are available and due dates for submission.
